Romance should be readable by everyone. This site was built with that in mind.

What is in place

• Semantic HTML with a single main landmark and a skip-to-content link on every page
• Full keyboard navigation, including the mobile menu, with a visible focus ring
• Alternative text on every image
• Labels on every form field, with errors announced to screen readers
• Body text meeting WCAG AA contrast on both the light and dark sections
• Animation disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion
• Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to small phone widths

Known gaps

Book cover art is still being added. Where a cover is missing, the placeholder is announced to screen readers as the book title plus "cover art coming soon" rather than being silently skipped.
